DetailsThe Rewards of Collaboration: Healthy Start and Early Head Start in Action

The Department of Health and Human Services' (HHS) Health Resources and Services Administration's National Healthy Start (HS) program supports community-based grants to address infant mortality and other adverse maternal and infant outcomes. The HHS Administration for Children and Families' Early Head Start (EHS) program promotes healthy prenatal outcomes, enhances the development of infants and toddlers, and promotes healthy family functioning. This webcast will provide an overview of the HS and EHS programs, the goals of their respective national organizations, and highlight the practical benefits of HS-EHS project collaborations as experienced by the Las Cruses, NM, Baton Rouge, LA, and Des Moines, IA communities.
This webcast should be viewed, either during its live broadcast or from its archive link, by every Healthy Start and Early Head Start grantee. The wealth of useful information that will be covered will benefit HS and EHS staff and consumers as well as other grantees within the Maternal and Child Health community.
