Maternal, Infant, and Early Childhood Home Visiting Program: Updated State Plan
The third and final requirement in the FY 2010 application process for the program, submission of an Updated State Plan, will be released in the Supplemental Information Request (SIR) to State grantees. This SIR provides guidance to States for making the final designation of the targeted at-risk community or communities for implementation, updating and providing a more detailed needs and resources assessment for the targeted community or communities, and submitting a specific plan tailored to address these needs that includes implementation of evidence-based home visiting programs that will meet legislatively-mandated benchmarks. The SIR includes criteria for determining the evidence base for home visiting models, a list of home visiting models determined to be evidence-based, and guidance for reporting on States' progress in meeting benchmarks. This webcast serves as an overview of the components of the SIR and State requirements for submission of their Updates State Plans.
