Partnerships and Relationships – The Key to Facility Recognition Success!
This educational program will highlight two EMS for Children targeted issues projects that have focused on pediatric facility recognition. A preview of a soon to be released tool kit to assist states in development/implementation of a pediatric facility recognition program will also be shared.
At the end of this program it is anticipated that participants will be able to:
1.) Describe facility recognition and its value in providing appropriate emergency care for children.
2.) Develop, plan, and implement a facility recognition program that includes performance and process improvement strategies.
3.) List key collaborators and the importance of partnerships in the establishment and maintenance of a pediatric facility recognition program.
This program is appropriate for hospital state leaders, hospital administrators, EMS for children grantees and their advisory committee members, physicians, nurses, parents and family members, as well as all others interested in improving the care of children.
